GOD LOVES YOU

DOES GOD EXIST? For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. Romans 1:20

Everyone believes in God. Only fools say there is no God. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, their deeds are vile; there is no one who does good. Psalm 14: 1. If you are asked to mention a number of good works, you'll likely mention things like loving your neighbour, being honest, giving etc. Isaiah 64:6 is a verse from the Bible that reads: “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” This verse reminds us that, in comparison to the perfection God requires, all our works are as filthy rags. God has seen and known that the man he created is weak and can never help himself. 

GOD IS HOLY 1 Peter 1:15-16 – But as he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.” Leviticus 20:26 – "You shall be holy to me, for I the LORD am holy and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine".  God is Holy and there is no atom of sin in Him. One thing that repels us from God is sin.

THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH. Death here means being separated from God. God is our source of life. When you separate fish from water, it dies. It may still survive for some few minutes, but it will surely die. God created man so he can always have direct relationship and fellowship with him.  God is our source and we've all been separated from Him. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God". God told Adam, the first man he created; "...but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die.” Genesis 2:17. He ate the fruit and died. Someone may ask, “how did he die?” He was separated from God. There was no direct fellowship between God and man. When God created everything, in His wisdom, He provided a   for continuity in them. So, the birds reproduce their kind. Animals and trees likewise reproduce their own kind. Adam reproduced his kind. We are all descendants of Adam and by default we are separated from God (DEAD). 

KNOWING GOD. Everyone born on earth desires to know God. By default, every man interacts with God’s creation, and this brings the question: Where is the Creator? Most people because they don't see any physical being called GOD, they tend to disbelieve in the existence of God. The word of God clearly says,

“For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse”. Romans 1:20  

Nature is GOD's creation. So, our forefathers thought God was in trees. They carved images and worshipped them. Others thought God dwells in the sun, moon, water or in animals, and they worshipped those elements. God saw man's effort, and being all-knowing and merciful, knew that the man he created cannot survive without Him. 

THE GOOD NEWS. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that WHOSOEVER believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". John 3:16. This is God's gift to humanity. If we reject God's gift, it means we have rejected God. It also implies that we do not want to be reconciled with Him. Aside Jesus Christ, there is no other SALVATION given to man by God. Acts 4:12 "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”  He was used as the sacrificial lamb. The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world! John 1:29. Only Jesus Christ died for you; only Jesus Christ paid the price. 

Revelations 5:9...For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,

He has called us out of every tribe, tongues, and nation. It's alright if you have Judaic, Islamic, Buddhistic, or a paganistic history. He understands that you want to know him, and he has made provisions for that. God is calling you out of the darkness you've been in. You never know you’ve been in the dark for long till you come to the light.

You may be asking yourself "How Do I accept Jesus Christ"?

John 1:12 says "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God".

Romans 10:9–10 —If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
If you're thinking that you are the most sinful, then you are the most qualified for this gift. He will wash you, cleanse you, and present you blameless. Hebrews 3:15 ... Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts... Revelation 3:20 "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."

Confess these words today and be saved!

Father, I thank you for the gift of your dearly beloved son Jesus Christ. I believe that he died, and you raised him from the dead. Today, I accept him as my Lord and Saviour. Thank you for granting me eternal life and accepting me as your dear child.

CONGRATULATIONS! If you have confessed these words, you are saved. You are now a member and citizen of God's eternal kingdom. You are now a child of God.

1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

The basic unit of every kingdom is family. You need to belong to a family where you will have fellowship with brothers and sisters, and you will be trained, nurtured, and equipped in the word of God. You need to join the church and be part of God's children here on Earth. Christ Jesus is the head and institutor of the Church. He is Coming back.
